Cancún is a city in southeastern Mexico, located on the northeast coast of theYucatán Peninsula in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. It is an important renowned tourist destination in Mexico. The city is located on the Caribbean Sea, and is one of the easternmost points in Mexico. Cancún is located just north of Mexico’s Caribbean coast resort band known as the Riviera Maya. Cancún is a tale of two cities. There’s the glitzy hotel zone with its famous white-sand beaches, unabashed party scene and sophisticated seafood restaurants. Then there’s the actual city itself, which gives you a taste of local flavour at, say, a neighborhood taco joint or a nearby, undeveloped beach!
