Norwegian changes hand baggage allowance

Norwegian is making some changes to hand baggage rules. If you book flights with Norwegian after 23 January 2020 then you check out Norwegian hand baggage allowance new rules which apply to your journey and ticket type.

Norwegian’s fleet consists of around 170 aircraft including Boeing 737 aircraft and Boeing 787 Dreamliners. With an average fleet age of just 3.8 years, Norwegian has one of the youngest and fuel-efficient fleets in the world. New aircraft are a win-win for the passenger’s comfort, wallet, the environment, and the company’s costs.

If you booked ticket until 23 January 2020

Included in your hand baggage:

  • One carry-on bag free-of-charge.
  • One small personal item to be placed under the seat in front of you (e.g. a small handbag or slim laptop case). Please pack essentials in your personal item (e.g. medicine, valuables and baby items).

You can also bring one bag of duty-free goods purchased at the airport in addition to your hand baggage allowance.

Good to know!

  • Everyone can also bring one airport shopping bag in addition to their ticket type allowance.
  • Pack important items, such as medicine, baby items and your valuables in your under-seat bag.
  • Some items are not allowed in your hand baggage – please check our restricted items before you pack.
  • You can bring an item instead of a standard bag (such a gift box or mini-board), but it must not exceed our hand baggage limits or be listed among our restricted items/dangerous goods.
