Singapore Airlines will launch world’s longest non-stop flight (19 Hours)

By the end of this year, passengers on Singapore Airlines’ newest plane, the Airbus A350-900ULR will travel on a record-breaking, globe-spanning flight that will reconnect the two major metropolises.

The new route will take 19 hours between New York and Singapore. The airline’s flights from Singapore to New York currently make a stop in Frankfurt or London.

Both routes will be served by SIA’s new Airbus 350-900ULR aircraft and are expected to come in a two-class configuration with business and premium economy seats. Singapore Airlines has ordered seven of the ULRs.

The aircraft is built to fly up to 11,160 miles (about 18,000km), an increase of more than 1,800 miles over the standard A-350.
