Wizz Air Adds 12 More Routes from Bratislava

Wizz Air continues its aggressive expansion in Slovakia. Just weeks after announcing 13 new connections from Bratislava Airport, the airline has revealed another 12 brand-new routes, strengthening its position at the country’s largest airport and promising Slovak travellers even more affordable flight options across Europe and beyond.

New Destinations from Bratislava

Starting this winter and continuing into spring 2026, Wizz Air will launch flights from Bratislava to the following cities:

  • Košice – from 21 November 2025, 9× weekly
  • Larnaca (Cyprus) – from 12 January 2026, 3× weekly
  • Chișinău (Moldova) – from 12 January 2026, 3× weekly
  • Berlin (Germany) – from 16 March 2026, 4× weekly
  • Dortmund (Germany) – from 17 March 2026, 3× weekly
  • Rome Fiumicino (Italy) – from 16 March 2026, daily
  • Tirana (Albania) – from 16 March 2026, 3× weekly
  • Ohrid (North Macedonia) – from 17 March 2026, 3× weekly
  • Pristina (Kosovo) – from 17 March 2026, 4× weekly
  • Tel Aviv (Israel) – from 17 March 2026, 5× weekly
  • Tuzla (Bosnia & Herzegovina) – from 29 March 2026, 4× weekly
  • Warsaw (Poland) – from 29 March 2026, 5× weekly

Tickets for these new routes are gradually appearing in Wizz Air’s booking system — first in the mobile app, followed by the airline’s official website.

Bratislava Becomes a Key Hub

With these additions, Wizz Air is set to operate over 25 direct routes from Bratislava, turning Slovakia’s capital into one of the most dynamically growing airports in Central Europe for the low-cost carrier.

The expansion strengthens connections not only within Europe but also to destinations further east, such as Tel Aviv and Chișinău, while also improving accessibility for Slovaks living abroad in Germany, Italy, and the Balkans.

Wizz Air vs. Ryanair: The Battle for Bratislava

A growing rivalry between Wizz Air and Ryanair is emerging at Bratislava Airport, as both airlines rapidly add new destinations and compete for market share in the region.

This competition is proving to be good news for travellers — with increased connectivity, more flight frequency, and lower fares likely to follow.

What’s Next

Aviation observers are already calling Wizz Air’s Slovak expansion one of the boldest moves in its Central European network strategy. After Košice received its first direct route from Bratislava, hopes remain that eastern Slovakia could also see new routes added soon.
