Qatar Airways launched the world’s first double beds in business class!

Qatar Airways has launched the first double bed within the business class. The Qsuite allows passengers to recline two middle seats into a fully flat bed and features partition panels to create a private bedroom with two entertainment screens inside.

Qatar Airways Company Q.C.S.C. operating as Qatar Airways is the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar. Headquartered in the Qatar Airways Tower in Doha, the airline operates a hub-and-spoke network, linking over 150 international destinations across Africa, Central Asia, Europe, Far East, South Asia, Middle East, North America, South America and Oceania from its base at Hamad International Airport, using a fleet of more than 180 aircraft.

The carrier’s senior vice president for Europe, Jonathan Harding, described the Qsuite cabins as a ‘first class product in business class’.

He told the Press Association: ‘It’s a revolutionary, brand new, game-changing product which we are going to roll out across our business class fleet, raising the business class experience to a new level.

“We have the first double bed in the sky so people travelling together are able to avail themselves of that.

“If you’re travelling by yourself you get privacy, particularly in one of our window seats, but our quads can be configured in a way that is very flexible and comfortable.”

Qatar Airways introduced the new seating on their daily Boeing 777 flights from London to Doha.
