What is Paysend?
Paysend is a money transfer app built around one idea: sending money abroad should cost a flat, visible amount instead of a percentage buried in the exchange rate. It says it now has 12 million customers and covers more than 170 countries. Its signature feature is card-to-card transfer – you send to a recipient’s card number instead of hunting down their IBAN, sort code or branch details.
For anyone who moves money across borders regularly – paying rent in another country, sending money home, splitting a trip with friends in a different currency – that is the part that saves the most hassle.
Paysend fees and transfer speed
Paysend charges a flat fee per transfer rather than a percentage of the amount. On its UK site the fee is advertised as “starting from 0.08 GBP”, and the exact figure depends on the corridor, the amount and how you pay. Delivery is quoted as arriving “in minutes in over 95% cases”, with slower corridors settling in about one business day.
Two honest caveats before you send:
- The promo code waives the transfer fee. Paysend still converts at its own exchange rate, and that rate carries a margin over the mid-market rate – exactly as it does at every retail money transfer service.
- A flat fee is a bargain on large transfers and much less impressive on small ones. Compare the amount your recipient actually receives, not the headline fee.

Where exactly do I enter the Paysend invite code?
