After Ryanair announced today that it will start selling long-haul flights to America on its website, Ryanair also announced a very exciting new partnership with ESN (International Exchange Erasmus Student Network).

This year Erasmus program celebrates its 30^th anniversary, a programme which provides university students across Europe the chance to study in a different European city for a year, facilitating cultural and academic exchanges and enhancing language skills in 37 countries. There are currently more than 4,000 higher institutions participating in Erasmus across the 37 countries involved in the Erasmus programme and by 2013, 3 million students had taken part since the programme’s inception in 1987. In 2012-13 alone, 270,000 took part, the most popular destinations being Spain, Germany, and France. Erasmus students represented 5 percent of European graduates as of 2012.

Delivered as part of Year 4 of Ryanair’s “Always Getting Better” programme, this Erasmus partnership will offer Student members:

• A free checked-in bag with every flight booked
• A dedicated Erasmus Students booking portal
• Community forum to share travel hints & tips
• Weekly travel offers to enable Erasmus students more easily move across Europe
• Tailored Ryanair in-journey offers on the mobile app

When does the offer start?

The offer will start from 1st September 2017 onwards.
This offer is a way of helping exchange students and interns to travel during their exchange period, so it is only applicable for flights booked, at least, 28 days in advance and for travelling dates between 1st of September to 15th of June.

Does the discount apply to every flight booked with Ryanair?
No. The offer is only available for 8 single flights booked, at least, 28 days before the date of the flight and being this within the 1st of September and the 15th of June.

Can I use this discount for flights that I have already booked?
No. The offer is only applicable from the 1st of September 2017.
Even if you have already booked flights for any date after the 1st of September 2017, the discount is not applicable as the flight has been booked before the launch of this partnership and/or not following the correct booking process through the dedicated booking platform.
