First day of a new era! Ryanair is selling connecting flights!

Ryanair started to sell its first connecting flights to their customers for the first time in the companies history, marking an end to the simple point-to-point budget carrier flights.

The first connecting flights are possible through Rome Fiumicino airport but other destinations will follow soon! Tickets can already be puchased through Ryanair website!

It is expected that from september passengers will be able to buy long-haul, low cost tickets also, as Ryanair prepares to provide feeder traffic for flights operated by carriers like Norwegian Airlines and Aer Lingus!

Some connecting flights:

Brussels – Catania

Brussels – Palermo

Barcelona – Bari

Barcelona – Palermo

Alicante – Palermo

Malta – Barcelona

Advantage of connecting flights:

What happens if you miss you connecting flight beacuse of the airline’s fault? (for example a delayed flight or mechanical problem) The airline should re-book you on the next available flight. If the next outbound flight is on the following morning, the airline should either book you on any other airline or provide accommodations and meals.
