New WizzAir baggage policy from 29 October!

From 29 October 2017 WizzAir changes its baggage policy! We summarized the most important changes of the new policy, but you can find every detail on WizzAir website too!

Wizz Air Hungary Ltd. is a Hungarian low-cost airline with its head office on the property of Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport in Budapest. The airline typically uses secondary airports serving many cities across Europe, Israel and the United Arab Emirates. It has the largest fleet of any Hungarian airline, although it is not a flag carrier, and currently serves 35 countries. Its Jersey based parent company, Wizz Air Holdings Plc, is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.

Hand Luggage:

You can carry a bigger hand baggage free of charge from 29 October. The new dimensions are:

However  WizzAir can place your bag in the hold. If you buy a WIZZ GO or WIZZ Plus ticket or if you are a Privilege Pass Holder, WIZZ Priority, which guarantees that your hand luggage will be carried in the cabin, is included in your ticket. Otherwise we recommend that you buy WIZZ Priority to guarantee your hand luggage in the cabin area.

Checked-in bag:

Instead of the former 23 KG weight limit, after 29 October the new weight limit will be 20 KG for lighter checked-in bags. The heavier 32 KG checked in limit did not change.

+ Wizz Priority bag:

There is no change, you can still carry and extra bag if you pay for Wizz Priority service, plus your hand luggage will be guaranteed to be kept on-board!
