Santander is a popular destination at the Atlantic Ocean that offers opportunities for everyone. Those seeking to relax under the sun can enjoy the local beaches and bars while others in search of the area’s cultural heritage can visit the many museums and cathedrals representing the region’s rich history.
The Spanish city is the 9 destination Wizz Air offers from Bucharest to Spain, besides Barcelona, Alicante, Madrid, Castellón, Málaga, Valencia, Tenerife and Zaragoza. Santander, situated in the Calabrian region, will be the 45 destination from Bucharest and the 145 destination in the Wizz Air network.
Wizz Air’s first flight from Bucharest took off in 2007 and since then, the airline has become the leading carrier. In the first 10 months of 2018, WIZZ carried more than 8.3 million passengers on its low fare routes to and from Bucharest, which represents 14.1% growth year over year. Throughout the country, Wizz Air’s operations in 2018 supported more than 6,000 jobs** in associated industries.
