Where the real value is

A few patterns stand out once you line all sixty-four routes up together:

• New York is the cheapest destination, and Tallinn – New York at €284 is the single lowest fare in the sale.
• The Baltics and Poland are the cheapest departure points. Tallinn, Vilnius, Riga, Krakow, Poznan, Gdansk and Wroclaw all sit at the bottom of their destination tables.
• The West Coast costs roughly €50–60 more than the East Coast, which is a modest premium for a far longer flight — and January to March is the best time of year to be in California.
• Krakow – Los Angeles at €315 is the outlier worth a second look: it is the cheapest West Coast fare in the sale by more than €30.

How to get the lowest price

• Be flexible by a few days. Moving your departure two or three days is usually worth more than any other single change you can make.
• Check the connection. These fares route through Scandinavia. A short layover is efficient, but on a winter schedule a slightly longer one is safer.
