The Lithuanian authorities have declared that beginning today, May 1, all travelers will be entitled to enter the country without being subjected to any COVID-19 restrictions. In a recent press release, the Lithuanian Ministry of Health announced that all visitors to the country, regardless of their country of origin, will no longer be needed to comply with COVID-19 entry criteria upon their arrival in Lithuania.

“From May 1, once the emergency situation in Lithuania is lifted due to the threat of COVID-19, there will be no more pandemic-related restrictions on foreign arrivals,” the statement of the Ministry reads.

According to the Ministry’s announcement, all travelers will now be able to enter Lithuania without limitation, regardless of whether or not they have a vaccination, recovery, or test certificate. It has also been stressed that travelers would no longer be obliged to complete the questionnaire of the National Public Health Center.

Except for scrapping the entry rules, Lithuania will now also apply less strict domestic restrictions. The Health Ministry has explained that persons who get infected with the virus are no longer required to undergo mandatory isolation. Moreover, the same has noted that the requirement to wear a face no longer remains in place, as reported by Schengen Visa Info.

“As the COVID-19 pandemic is not over, it is advisable to remain vigilant and follow general measures to prevent coronavirus infection throughout the trip. During the trip, it is recommended to wear a medical mask, to keep distances, not to gather, not to be in unventilated premises or to spend as little time in them as possible, to wash your hands often,” the Ministry recommends.
