Lithuania tightens entry restrictions for unvaccinated travelers from Latvia, Romania and Luxembourg
Non-vaccinated travellers from Latvia, Romania and Luxembourg arriving in Lithuania must present a PCR test performed within 72 hours before arrival and quarantine for ten days, the country’s authorities have announced.
According to the press release issued by the Lithuanian Health Ministry, a change in entry restrictions has been imposed on Iceland and Portugal arrivals, too, as the countries have been moved from red to orange category. This means that starting from September 20, non-vaccinated arrivals don’t have to quarantine upon reaching Lithuania anymore but must perform a test before and upon arrival, according to Schengen Visa Info.
Moreover, PCR tests must be performed 72 hours before departure, and antigen tests are considered valid only if they were carried out within 48 hours before travelling to Lithuania.
Poland and Czechia remain on Lithuania’s green list, meaning that non-vaccinated travellers from these countries don’t have to quarantine or test before arrival but must perform a test upon reaching Lithuania.
However, it is mandatory that everyone wanting to travel to Lithuania, regardless of the vaccination status or country of origin, must complete the health declaration known as the Maritime Health Declaration to the National Center for Public Health (NVSC) 48 hours before travelling.
