Poland has decided to introduce a ten-day mandatory quarantine requirement for all persons arriving from a country outside the Schengen Area, Deputy Health Minister Waldemar Kraska has revealed. Such a decision was made in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant within the country and entered into force on June 23.

However, it was noted that the quarantine requirement does not apply to those who have been fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 with one of the vaccines authorised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Exempt from the quarantine requirement are also children under the age of 12 travelling together with their parents who present a negative test result or have been vaccinated against the virus, Schengen Visa Info reported.
