Citizens of 46 countries worldwide will be permitted to enter Slovakia’s territory restriction-free from June 14, after the Slovak authorities concluded that these countries have a high vaccination rate and favourable COVID-19 situation.

According to a statement published by the Ministry of the Interior, the following states, placed in the country’s green list are allowed to head to Slovakia, even for non-essential purposes without being subject to quarantine requirement, if they present a negative result of the COVID-19 PCR test, (not older than 72 hours), upon their arrival:

European countries: Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Greece, Greenland, the Netherlands, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Hungary, Monaco, Germany, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Austria, Romania, San Marino, Slovenia, Vatican City State, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy.

Non-European countries: Australia, China, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Macau, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan.

In contrast to the countries mentioned above, Slovakia’s Ministry of the Interior has categorized the following states in its high-risk list, or the red list after estimating that they have recently reported an increased number of COVID-19 infections;

European countries: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine, Moldova.

Non-European countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Jordan, Canada, Cuba, Lebanon, Puerto Rico, United States of America, Tunisia.

Citizens coming from regions profoundly affected by the virus will be obliged to follow quarantine rules upon their entry into Slovakia; however, the Ministry has announced that there will be some exemptions applied, Schengen Visa Info reported.
