Ryanair cancels planned expansion to UKRAINE!

Ryanair just announced that the company has cancelled its planned entry into Ukraine following Kiev airport’s failure to honour a growth agreement reached at the Ministry of Infrastructure with airport officials and the current Airport Director General, Mr Riabikin, in March of this year.

Ryanair claims that Kiev airport has chosen to protect high fare airlines (including the national airline: Ukraine International Airlines).

Ryanair decided to cancel all 4 new Kiev routes and all 7 new Lviv routes.

All affected customers who have booked flights to/from Ukraine with Ryanair will be contacted by email and refunded for their cancelled flights.

The decision was made because Ryanair could not reach an agreement with Kiev airport, and Lviv Airport has fallen victim to a lack of agreement between Ryanair and Kiev airport.

Ryanair will now transfer this capacity to other routes, such as Germany, Israel and Poland instead.
