The tourism company’s United Kingdom branch, Thomson Travel Group (TUI), has cancelled many holidays until August due to the destinations being marked as high-risk countries.

Starting from July 19, fully vaccinated Britons will be able to return from amber list countries, free of quarantine requirement if they present a negative PCR test, Schengen Visa Info reports.

Despite this, TUI has called off several flights and holidays until at least July 31, with the latest cancellation being to:

• Aruba
• Bulgaria
• Cape Verde
• Costa Rica
• Croatia (Except Kvarner Bay)
• Dominican Republic
• Egypt
• Florida
• Greece – Halkidiki, Samos and Thassos
• India
• Indonesia
• Italy
• Mainland Spain (Except Malaga and Alicante)
• Maldives
• Mauritius
• Morocco – Agadir
• Mexico – Puerto Vallarta and Cancun
• Sri Lanka
• Tanzania
• Thailand
• Tunisia
• Turkey
• UAE
• USA (except Florida)

Although the majority of the popular destinations are on the red list, such as Turkey, the Maldives, Spain – these countries are hoping to welcome British travellers starting from next week.

TUI also confirmed that more trips would be cancelled throughout July, including:

Holidays, including flight-only and accommodation-only bookings, to the below destinations due to depart on or before 21 July 2021:
• Cyprus
• Jamaica

Holidays, including flight-only and accommodation-only bookings to the below destinations due to depart on or before 22 July 2021:
• Greece – Skiathos
• Morocco – Marrakesh

Holidays, including flight-only and accommodation-only bookings to the below destinations due to depart on or before 23 July 2021:
• Fuerteventura – Canary Islands, Spain
• Mainland Spain – Alicante
• Mainland Spain – Malaga

Holidays, including flight-only and accommodation-only bookings to Greece – Kefalonia due to depart on or before 24 July 2021.

Holidays, including flight-only and accommodation-only bookings to Greece – Chania in Crete due to depart on or before 26 July 2021.

Holidays, including flight-only and accommodation-only bookings to La Palma – Canary Islands, Spain due to depart on or before 28 July 2021.
